In Every Gutter Cleaning
Whichever of the three you pick, this is what happens on the job.
- Hand debris removal. We clear leaves, twigs, shingle grit, seed pods, and packed sludge from every accessible gutter line by hand. Hand cleaning is gentler than blowers and far more thorough — nothing gets pushed past the next clog. We scoop each gutter by hand, and no gutter is bent when we leave.
- Downspout check. A clean gutter still backs up if the downspout is plugged, so at the end of every job we tap each downspout and run a marble down it to confirm it is clear all the way through.
- We tell you what we can see from up there. You cannot see the back edge of your own gutters from the ground. If we spot sagging sections, loose brackets, separated seams, or improper slope while we are working, we will tell you, so a small problem does not turn into an expensive one.
- One, two and three-story homes. Three-story work runs off a 40-foot ladder with safety-trained crews. Height changes the price, not whether we will do it.
- Insured, and we will show you. Camelot carries commercial liability insurance and workers' compensation. Ask and we will send the certificate of insurance before you book.
Downspouts, guards, and underground lines
Gutter guards do not keep gutters clear. They keep the big debris out, and fine grit still gets through and packs down underneath, where nobody can reach it by hand. That is why a guarded home needs the flush: guard off, clog cleared, guard back on.
If your downspouts run underground into an irrigation or drainage line, we can attempt a flush to push water through — but we do not carry equipment for major underground drainage problems. If that is what you are dealing with, we will tell you rather than guess.

Recurring Service
Most homes need the gutters emptied at least once a year, and we recommend twice a year for most Nashville properties: once after the spring seed and pollen drop, and again after the fall leaves come down. Homes under heavy tree cover often need a third cleaning to stay ahead of clogs through storm season.
Biannual and quarterly schedules are discounted, and any schedule can be cancelled at any time. Part of why a recurring visit costs less is simple: when we come out regularly, we are not clearing an entire year of buildup off the whole rain system every time.
Recurring service is also how we catch the things nobody plans for: the fall leaf load, spring pollen, maple helicopters, a kid's baseball that ended up on the roof. If it is up there, we will find it.
Book before winter. Gutters are very difficult and sometimes impossible to clean once the weather sits at or below freezing — the only way to get a solid block of ice out is to chip at it slowly, which takes far longer than normal leaf removal and costs more. Getting the fall clean done before the cold sets in avoids all of that.
Gutter cleaning can also be scheduled on the same visit as your window cleaning, if you would rather have us there once instead of twice.
Signs Your Gutters Need Cleaning
You can check most of this from the ground in about two minutes.
- Water sheeting over the front edge, or running out of the back of the gutter, while it rains
- Stains or streaks running down the siding and the fascia board behind the gutter
- Plants or tree seedlings growing out of the trough
- Sections sagging or pulling away from the house

What Clogged Gutters Cost You
Gutters move water away from your home. If a downspout is not carrying water a couple of feet away from the house, the rain is dropping straight down at your foundation. Neglecting gutter cleaning and maintenance is a common cause of avoidable home damage, and it can cause foundational damage to your home, which can be very costly.
- Rotted fascia and soffit. Water overflowing the back edge of a gutter soaks the fascia board and soffit, rotting the wood your gutters are attached to.

We also look at how many feet of gutter there are, the height and pitch of the roof lines, how heavy the tree line is, whether screen guards are installed, and what type of gutter you have — round, five-inch, six-inch or mesh-guarded all clean differently. The more we know before we quote, the more accurate the number is.

Do you repair gutters?
Cleaning and maintenance is what we do, and we handle minor repairs like re-securing loose brackets on request — it costs less when we are already on your roof for a cleaning than it does as a separate trip. We do not do gutter replacement or structural rebuilds. Our crews will flag any sagging, loose or damaged sections they find while they are up there either way.
Do you get up on the roof?
We work from ladders and from the roof, whichever the house needs. On No Mess and Gutter Flush a crew member goes up with a bucket so the debris comes down with us rather than over the side.
Can you clean gutters in winter?
Up to a point. Once the weather is at or around freezing it gets very difficult and sometimes impossible — a solid block of ice has to be chipped out slowly, which takes far longer than normal leaf removal, costs more, and needs its own one-time estimate. If your fall cleaning has not happened yet, book it before the cold sets in.
