What decides the price of a construction clean
Every construction job is quoted on the property, not from a list. Two jobs with the same window count can be days apart in work, so there is no per-window price we can print. Here is what we count when we quote:

What we take off the glass
- Paint overspray — latex and oil-based splatter from interior and exterior painting.

- Drywall dust — the fine particles that coat every surface during interior finishing.

We work with the blades, solvents and technique the job calls for. If we find anything on the glass that carries a risk of damage, you hear about it from us before we touch it — and for some materials we ask you to acknowledge that risk in writing before we attempt removal.
What a construction clean covers
Glass is counted by face. The outside and the inside of the same window are two separate pieces of work, so tell us whether you need both. Interior glass that separates two offices is different — that is one line item covering both sides, because nobody wants one side of an office partition clean.
Tracks are vacuumed out and wiped on windows that open. Sills — the interior ledge in front of the window — are wiped on anything we clean from the inside, because cleaning glass drips water on them.
Frames are the surround around the glass, and frame cleaning means a detailed wipe-down rather than an incidental one. On construction jobs, frame detailing is usually part of the scope.
Skylights and transoms are cleaned where the building has them, and are included in the quoted price.

Why timing matters
Construction debris left on glass for more than two to three weeks begins to bond with the surface. Paint overspray hardens and gets progressively harder to remove without scratching.
We recommend booking within one to two weeks of project completion.
A note on protective film
New windows usually arrive with a plastic film on them, and builders often leave it in place through the install to protect the glass. That is fine by us — but if the film stays on through the heat of a Nashville summer it fuses to the glass, which means a more expensive clean, a sticky residue that is hard to shift, and in some cases damage to the window itself.
Booked within two to three weeks of completion, that film mostly peels off cleanly. Left on through the summer heat, it does not. If you already have sticky residue on your glass, tell us when you call — we can remove it, and it costs less the sooner it is done.
